Pastor Ezekiel Arrested over his teachings, links to Mackenzie. He was arrested inside his church residence in kilifi county.
Coast Regional Coordinator Rhoda Onyancha, who was briefing the press, at the Uhuru na Kazi Building says the pastor will be questioned by detectives at the Coast Police Headquarters in Mombasa.
“We have arrested Pastor Ezekiel of the New Prayer Centre and Church at Mavueni in Kilifi County on allegations of the deaths that have been occurring at his premises and reported in various morgues or institutions,” said Ms Onyancha.
“We have also taken action and closed down his prayer centre going forward. We are informing the public that the prayer centre has been closed down and whoever was in there cleared out. We will give updates as we progress with investigations,” said Ms Onyancha.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is looking into televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Prayer Centre and Church about the alleged indoctrination of churchgoers.

DCI agents questioned Pastor Ezekiel about his beliefs and church practices on Tuesday, April 25th, as they looked into the strange fatalities connected to the Mackenzie’s Shakahola Fasting Cult Massacre.
Pastor Odero recorded a statement during the operation run by the Kilifi DCIO on both his and pastor Mackenzie’s suspected connections.
In addition, a DCI team visited the Milele Funeral Home in Mavueni, Kilifi County, a morgue close to Pastor Ezekiel’s church, and questioned the staff there about potential cultic activities.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki stated on Tuesday that the National Police Service (NPS) is looking into flamboyant preachers whose teachings appear to be outside the law while examining the exhumation procedure at Shakahola.
“Any faith that kills people or engages in criminal activities in the name of religion must be stopped, and this is the time to stop these charlatans,” declared the CS.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero drove himself in his Lexus LX 570 to Mombasa after being arrested.
