Pachagazine: Tell us a bit of yourself

Stephen Mercy: Am Stephen Mercy a.k.a Flyboyle am an Afro pop Artiste, song writer and Actor, born and raised in Nigeria, I have been artiste for over 14 years. I discovered  my talent at a tender age, when I was a choir master at church and soon after I started contributing  to Afro pop music and acting in Nigeria local movies.

Pachagazine:  What  artiste did you grow up listening and who inspired you?

Stephen Mercy: I grew listening to p- square, Lucky Dube and those inspired me is Orsh Fargo my big brother, Davido, Wizkid   and Sele bobo.

Pachagazine:  how would you describe the music that you typically create?

Stephen Mercy: Mostly l do my music for expressing love experience and sending positive love vibe message through my songs.

Pachagazine:  how would you describe the musical industry in Kenya comparison with Nigeria? Stephen Mercy: To be honest a few Kenyan artist know what they are doing in the music industry, most artist here sing for  Kenyans while Nigeria they target the whole world that’s what makes music there internationally  very unique.

Pachagazine:  Any collaboration done so far with a Kenyan artist? And if yes which any other artist do you feel is doing well and you would wish to work with in Kenya?

Stephen Mercy: l haven’t done any collaboration yet but am working on it, I would love to work with khaligraph jones,  Otile Brown, Nadia Mukami, Sauti sol and many more.

Pachagazine:  where have you performed , what is your favorite  venues?do you have any upcoming show?

Stephen Mercy: I have performed  in some of the biggest event in Nairobi like The NaiFest, big clubs and lounges in the country and my favorite  venues are whisky river, club garage Thika and club timba Eldoret.

For my upcoming shows my calendar  is booked till feb 14^th  this Sunday January 31st I will be performing at TORINO ITALY, on on 7^th feb I will be at switch lounge and on 13^th I will be performing alongside REEKANDO BANKS AT Diamond plaza 2 for valentine edition.

Pachagazine:  Your music  will definite and influence  many  generation, do you have  an overreaching philosophy you hope to communicate through your music?

Stephen Mercy: I do what I can do when I can do if I can do when I wanna do

Pachagazine:  what is your favorite song when you perform?

Stephen Mercy: All my songs are bangers and I love them all of them are favorite to me.

Pachagazine:  What’s your secret towards your success? GOD INCHARGE

Pachagazine:  Does music pay according to you?

Stephen Mercy: Definitely yes! If it start paying its upon you to maintain in the industry and always give your fans different things than they expect.

Pachagazine:  Apart from music anything else you do?

Stephen Mercy: No I do music and I live for music

Pachagazine:  What country do you feel has been your stronghold in terms of fan base?

Stephen Mercy: Kenya and Nigeria they have shown me love and super support
