Esther Mwende Macharia, born 1986 is a popular TV and radio presenter at standard media. She was born and grew up in Ukunda, Kwale county, went to Mwakigwena primary school and Matuga girls secondary respectively. She pursued a diploma in journalism studies in Patana Institute and later joined Daystar university for a degree in electronic media but never graduated.

She has been is a single mother to her a lovely son Champion Blessings after parting with her baby daddy, a popular video director J blessing. In June 11th 2021 Mwende welcomed her second born, a bouncing baby boy know us BEST who’s father has remained anonymous.

Mwende Macharia, also known as “queen of the airwave” is known for her hype afternoon show “konnect” which airs weekdays from twelve to three on radio Maisha alongside her co-host clemmo.

Mwende began her career in 2007 as an intern at Baraka FM and joined mainstream media later in 2009 working at Seikh FM in Mombasa.

Being known as bold, lively and zealous about radio, Mwende is also a mentor to many youths through her charity organization Champs Foundation founded 2015, where she guides youths in self-empowerment. Her perfection in entertainment on both radio, TV and social media has won her endorsements and many cooperate and social events as an MC with major companies such as Turkish airlines, fast jet, Safaricom, coca cola among others.

Despite being one of the most popular radio icons she has kept her relationship life private since braking with her baby daddy J Blessings.
