Lipa na data lets you Pay for Goods and Services with Safaricom Data.
Introducing Safaricom’s Lipa na Data service, enabling customers to use their Safaricom internet data balance to pay for goods and services.
To access the service, Safaricom customers can dial *544*34#.
Please note that a minimum of 5GB mobile data on your Safaricom line is required to use this service.
The Lipa na Data service is available to Safaricom Postpay customers with a data balance of 5GB and above. It is also accessible to Prepaid customers with No Expiry bundles exceeding 5GB.
If you don’t meet the requirements, an error message will be displayed.
Message for Ineligible Customers:
Upon accessing the service, you will be presented with four options, including the ability to view your data bundles.
Customers with 5GB and above can utilize this service to pay for goods and services. Payment can be made through PayBill or Till Number.
The Bundles Calculator feature provides the cost of your bill in Kenyan Shillings, equivalent to a certain amount of data bundles. For example, Ksh 500 is equivalent to 7692.21MBs.
You can use this option to check how much of your data will be utilized or to determine if you have sufficient data bundles to cover the bill.

After selecting your payment method and entering the necessary details, the next prompt will display the amount you are paying in terms of data bundles. You can then choose to accept or decline to complete the transaction.
The Lipa na Data service will soon be available to all eligible Safaricom customers.
