US President-elect Joe Biden pledged his support to Kenya in a phone conversation with President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday.
President-elect Biden, in a statement published on his website, thanked President Kenyatta for his sending his congratulations following his victory in the US polls.
He also expressed his appreciation for the strong and lasting ties between the US and Kenya further committing to building on it further during his tenure.
“He conveyed his interest in building on that partnership across a range of issues, including by tackling the threat of climate change, supporting refugees and their host communities, and addressing challenges of regional security and instability,” read the statement.
